Our Process

We’ll and sit down with you to gather your thoughts and vision. We’ll form a comprehensive brief to ensure we understand you hopes for this project.

We will review your existing brand collateral (if applicable) and learn about your future directions for your orginisation. We will review and develop a deep understanding of any strategy documents available to guide our design direction.

We consider your competitors, target markets, industry trends and market leaders. We will benchmark against other similar organisations — local, interstate and international.

A brand is so much more than just a logo or colour palette. A brand exists in the consumers mind as their own unique web of associations, perceptions and experiences they have had with your organisation over time. It is important to note that these associations and perceptions will occur naturally and passively, whether we want them to or not.

Strategic branding aims to influence this experience and create the desired perceptions and associations, in line with business objectives. This is why great brands are built on an intimate understanding of the organisation.

During the strategy development, we take time to learn about the business – exploring where you are now, and where you want to be. In this way, we can craft a brand that supports the future direction and objectives and will stand the test of time.

We will dig deep into who you are — your values, vision and mission. We articulate your brand personality, tone and voice. And will use all of this to inform your brand expression, including a strategically crafted new business name and tagline.

Using the insights gathered throughout the strategy process, we explore design opportunities, develop design directions and consider potential concepts that effectively capture the essence of the brand, campaign or initiative.

We moodboard potential colour palettes, typography, layout, image use and design assets, and use this to create two unique creative concepts and potential visual language styles, including logo or brand-marks concepts, language and tone of voice, imagery and supporting brand elements.

We further develop these concepts, in consultation with key stakeholders, developing colour palettes, typography, messaging and potential brand applications. By applying the brand concept(s) to real-world materials for consideration, we ensure the visual identity concept development process provides a holistic and comprehensive vision for the future brand, campaign or initiative.

After reaching creative approval we will carry on with applying the selected concept to the selected suite of marketing materials needed for your project.

We create a toolkit to empower and enable the management and maintenance of your brand. The toolkit is tailored to your requirements, and typically includes your strategy framework, visual design elements, application guidelines and brand templates
